The TAVY Thin-Skin Underlayment System can be used over any surface. TAVY Thin-Skin #007 Glue is a high-end multi-purpose adhesive high in solids that will adhere to any surface. This is a list of common surfaces, but by no means is this a complete list:

Industry Standard Sub-Surfaces
FLOORS: The Tile Council of America has established an industry standard of a minimum 1 1/4" sub-surface for flooring installations. This standard calls for two separate sheets of flooring material, staggering seams.
COUNTERTOPS: The recommended countertop sub-surface is a minimum of 3/4" thick exterior grade plywood.
